Robert "Willie" Pickton was just convicted of six murders - got sentenced to life in prison, though he's eligible for parole in ten years.  He's apparently going to be tried for another twenty murders, and claims to have committed 49 (he was planning on doing one more to make it an even 50 before he got caught).  He tortured and dismembered his victims and fed their delicious remains to his pigs.

'He will receive a mandatory sentence of life in prison and will not be eligible for parole for at least 10 years. The jury was deliberating Sunday whether to extend that 10-year period.'

Comforting to know he won't notch up #50 for AT LEAST 10 years!  My daughter will be almost 11 by then, and probably fast enough to outrun him.

Hey, he'll be 68 by then and probably have bad arthritis.  He'll have to stick to killing disableds and little old ladies!

It's not like it's that novel of an idea.  It's been considered one of the best ways to dispose of bodies for a longass time.

it does sound funny that a psycho hick is doing a better job (and with fucking 49 bodies) than Dexter though.

It actually hasn't been that big. Bernardo made bigger news. I suppose people just don't care about dead hookers and runaways.

Actually it was big news Malek, just it was always seen from the other side, don't tell me you haven't heard of the Vancouver prostitute shortage crises!?   I mean my god just think if he would have gotten all fifty of them.  As is, Saskatoon already lent out three of ours to help fill demand over there; anymore and our town would have been needy too!
