i'm not familiar with the original musical, but it looks like sweeney todd is now the count of monte cristo and all the throat cutting and meat pie making was revenge, not economic desperation

also, am I the only one kind of confused by why joker would put on that much make up?  in the original, he's physically fucked up so he then tries to mentally fuck other people up (by making giving them poisonous laughing gas).  this looks like he raided joan rivers' make up cabinet and that doesn't make any sense.
