I wish to add my voice to the chorus that sings "The Aviator rawks, The Departed, not so much."
and also that Infernal Affairs kicks the shit out of The Departed.  Its not that hard to out-act Andy Lau, but somehow Matt Damon, Matt Freaking Damon couldn't do it.

Matt Damon was hit-and-miss in that with the accent.  It was one of those cases where in some scenes he would Keanu it and forget that he was supposed to have an accent.

It's funny because he's from Boston.

Marky Mark: *something about Uncle Jackie*
Leo *with horrible Boston accent*: He was a cop at tha maaaausshhhh
Marky Mark: *lol he was lying*
Leo *with no accent*: I remember his funeral

he pretty much sounded the same as in good will hunting, and, iirc, both those characters were from boston.

also, gony isn't really bad at all.
