But perhaps I'm a little strange on this issue. I know for a fact that "negro" is not a racial slur, but racial slurs don't bother me. I went to Howell, Michigan with my basketball team a few years ago...so yeah. "distinguished black fellow what you doin up so late?"

I just laughed it off. It doesn't bother me a bit

All ethnic slurs are inappropriate, regardless of whatever current tolerance level is being applied to them.

Feeling the need to ask that question is reason enough to stike it from your vocabulary.
