I bought Robert Graysmith's Zodiac book (the first one, not Unmasked) when I was out at lunch today.  It's going right into my bathroom library.

I just keep my mags in there. Which is why I decided to finally get a Wired subscription.

Someone should really do a television adaptation of it.  There's enough quality material here to last the run of a full series.  Naturally, this is too good for American TV, so I guess it would have to be the BBC.  There's a little something for everyone in it.

I bought Burnout Paradise. I'm so weak. I used a $10 off any PS3 game coupon and $10 in reward zone certificates, but I'm still fucking weak.

On the up side, it's actually really fun.

Now your opinion I trust on this matter...hmm. I'm still gonna wait a while to buy it. I have too much to play as it is.

Yup, im digging it too. I kinda like the open environment. Hunting down cars for my junkyard is teh fun. I never did crash mode that much in the later games.

Let me preface the enjoyment with this: I have yet to fail a race, so I haven't had to backtrack to restart one.

Anyone picking up Pirates of the Burning Sea? My good friend was the former lead game designer, and while he's no longer involved with the title, I'm still curious as to what people think of his former "baby."

When I fail a race I just drive forward till I find a new one. It doesnt matter which races you complete to get license options. I suppose late game when you need to hit all the events up its more of an issue, but early on you have a lot to choose from.

Plus events reset at each licenses level, so youre never hunting around early on, and later on you'll know the town inside out.

Cool.  I suspect this is how the devs envision the game to be played which is why they didn't just allow auto retries.

I also got a copy of Casino Royale that my mom accidentally purchased on Blu Ray.  Instead of returning it she just sent it to me because she knows I am a total video whore.

Your mom paid $30 for something that she thought was a DVD?  She must be a big movie fan too.

I don't think she buys movies that often.
