ITT - its more fun  to compare screenshots than talk about the actual fucking demo.

:/

why talk about a demo when we can download it and try it for ourselves?  is there a forum rule against comparisons around here that i don't know of?  i'm interested, because i want to know what version is superior.  and by looking at the screens and having a discerning eye, it looks like the 360 version is.

Usually people who do comparisons have some devious console bias in mind. It's understable to want the best looking version though.

I can't get into it because of the controls. Holding down the right button yo lock on just feels awkward. I also feel that the shooting and melee buttons should be switched around.

no 1080i support? really?

And it's 480p? Wtf?
I guess his TV doesn't support 720p, so it's either 480p or 1080i for him.

i am pretty sure the final game will support 1080i.

they released a demo for LP, so DMC4 pc demo is a given.

i was flipping between the two versions -- they look virtually identical -- when my 360 graphics card overheated and covered the screen with static. lolz. i guess that settles it.

and my 360 had better not die while i'm DEFENDING MY OMEGA FIVE SCORING CHAMPIONSHIP AGAINST VARIOUS WOULD-BE USURPERS :punch

Is there any sort of dash? I swear you could dash around and fuck up enemies. Nero is a slowpoke, and his one gun is lame.

Very pretty game and runs smooth.

TVC owned, DMC4 > Burnout

TVC owned, DMC4 > Burnout

1- keep running and nero will sprint faster

2- lock on targets and press Y, Nero will dash forward with a nice looking slash.

BTW...it took me awhile to realize it only takes 3 good pumps to level up your sword.   :lol

You won't go back after playing this.  Trust me.  Besides those are old games.  DMC4 uses the same template so just spend your time with the latest installment.

My bad.

Still DMC3's graphics were still pretty 'meh' at the time.  Stick with DMC4.  Don't you want to be able to discuss the game with us as well?

finally beat Berial. doing the aerial bodyslam with him was FUCK AWESOME. i haven't cackled like that at a game in ages! man, though, i suck at dodging his strikes, and how do i defend against the fireblast thing when he gets up after being slammed? i just beat him by shooting his head until he stood up, grim grip, slashed his head and finished with a devil bringer. rinse repeat x 4, but i could only jump his sword maybe half the time, i could never figure out how to avoid the fireblast.

this game is a lot easier than dmc3 and i like that, because i usually totally suck at these fixed-camera action-combat games. and man the art direction is fuckin' great. sadly, i think i like it with the ps3 controller better, and the visual difference isn't that big -- the 360 version looks a little cleaner and has smoother fly-bys (yet i can't fathom why there's none of the shader effects on the frost guys, it's not like there's anything to eat up resources in those scenes! maybe they'll add them before release?), but i am just used to the dual shock pad layout when it comes to these types of games. i dunno. we'll see!
