There's definitely more content in Melee than there was in either of the Power Stone games (as fun as those may be)... but yeah I am so jealous of all you bastards who get to play the game on Thurs... I have to wait till March. Planning to pick the game up that Sunday at NWS and then take off work the next day.

And don't character designs make or break fighting games? But Smash has more to it than Powerstone does. Powerstone was a good start, but needed improvement. That game got old after a few weeks. In contrast, I thought Ehrgeiz and Capcom's own Tech Romancer were much better games in the same style.

Smash Bros. is also a 2D fighter. I wouldn't compare it directly to the very 3D oriented Powerstone.

Yeah, but it's actually kinda cool how it works. I loved that game's final battle, best part of Earthbound for sure, even if I wasn't entirely enamored by the rest of the game (I mean it's alright but there are lots of much better RPGs out there).

smash brothers is just an incomplete version of the mario party games. it's just a mini game that's good for an hour and then it's worthless. i hate to watch nintendo drown itself in crappy game after crappy game, especially since i loved them as a kid, but it looks like that's where they are going.

and soon nintendo will be the mcdonalds of video games.
