The spoilers indicate that the episode is a fuckin' snoozer, but it may play better on TV. Still, I'm psyched. Season 3 was a great set up for a action-y Season 4 and the new cast is killer.

Knowing how Lost opperates, I'm fully expecting it to go absolutely nowhere tomorrow night. They'll string the "rescue" out for at least 5 or 6 episodes before they get their ass into gear and start moving the story forward.

I just got done watching Season 1 of Dexter a few days back. It's overall great stuff but it has the single most worthless set of supporting characters it has ever been my misfortune to watch. I do not give a SHIT about anyone in the police office or all the predictable sub-CSI police procedural tripe the writers force the actors to plod through. I'll watch any old shit but i actually found myself twitching for the remote when Dex, Harry or Brian wasn't on screen. And I almost cheered when Angel was stabbed.

This is the same thing I tell my buddy at work. He ridicules my watching of Lost but respects my tastes in movies and tv. Only watching one episode is not enough to help you develop a feel for the show.

This is the same thing I tell my buddy at work. He ridicules my watching of Lost but respects my tastes in movies and tv. Only watching one episode is not enough to help you develop a feel for the show.

Seriously. There's way too much development and important info in the first few seasons, that you NEED to watch it in order

Yeah, well hopefully they won't fall back into their old ways but I don't entirely trust them. I'm sure we're going to get some shit like Sayid losing a scarf on the island with a flashback about how he strangled a kid in Bagdad with a hankerchief with the hatch numbers embroidered on it. I liked watching the season 3 finale lastnight to get refreshed on the show.

I had forgotten about all kinds of stuff like the strange ghost that tells the others what to do and the dead pit Locke crawled out of to show up at the end and tomahawk throw a knife into that very hot girlies back.

Pretty hyped to see tonight's 2 hours showing.

The most interesting thing about the entire episode was Hurley bringing up the "Oceanic 6" thing. God, I hope we start seeing characters dropping off like flies then. Fucking start with Bernard and his wife Rose. They've been completely uninteresting from day 1.

I downloaded it last night, and noticed a typo in it. "Oceanic Oceanic Airlines thanks for entering for a chance to win an Xbox 360 and other great prizes!" WTF you have to design a theme that has one line of text printed at the bottom, and you somehow mess that up? Screw their typo-ridden theme. And why are they giving away a 360 to people who clearly already have a 360? The whole thing makes no sense!

I will take some Lost in HD though!

Worst part was Hurley's speech.

This show is so fucking hit and miss. When it hits, awesome. But when it misses it feels like the train is about to coming flying off the tracks.....

I really like how there's two buildups, with the climax being in the middle

(or: just how do they get off the island?) Island -> -> -> -> ????? <- <- <- <- Oceanic Six (or: just why do they have to go back?)

After spinning it's wheels a bit in Season 3, it feels like it has a clear focus now. In the past we had all these different mysteries piling on top of each other with no idea when/if they would ever be resolved, but now it feels like the series is moving towards...something. How did Jack, Kate, Hurley, and three others get off the island, what happened to everyone else, and what happened that was so bad that they afraid to talk about it to other people and Jack and Hurley become traumatized by it? Finding out the answers to these questions will give us something look forward to, while also still possibly giving the writers some room to maneuver for some later episodes (Do they ever go back to the island, and what is it they want to do when they get there?)
