So what are the chances we ever see a Radiant Silvergun port?

We got Ikaruga coming.  Naturally, RS would be a bit more work because I'd imagine they'd want to HD up the textures a bit, since the Saturn hasn't aged so well.

It's one of the most talked about "rare" games, and frankly, I fucking miss being able to play the fuck awesome Saturn version of it.

Can any of our friends in Japan here offer any incite into the probability of this occurring?

RS was one of the most beautiful-looking Saturn games.  I used to own it but I sold it (for a decent profit)...what're the chances of this happening?  Who knows? I'd pick it up day one if it came out again.

As far as the actual porting goes, the technical aspect would be easy, but I'd imagine both Sony and MS would demand they make it not so low rez.

Well, then again, Metal Slug and SOTN showed up on XBL and they are both hideous and low resolution, but it wouldn't shock me if there were different standards for games using lotsa polys.

RS may not be the best shooter, but it was the game that made me realize that shooters were more than just that genre that every other shitty NES game was a part of.

i doubt we will. afaik japanese devs often lose old source code, and saturn emulation has got to be a pain in the ass

iuchi & co need to get cracking on that original 360 shooter they've been promising for years now. if dyack manages to release a game before they do, i think they'll be culturally obligated to slit their bellies

MAME has been on the verge of emulating it for about a year now.  There's just always a few critical issues, either with layering, or sound, or stability--just enough things to keep you from sticking it out.  I think if Treasure themselves tried, they could easily brute force emulate it.

Emulating Saturn itself? That would rock.  I live in fear of my Saturns dying and not being able to play my 100 plus games library.

What about those SEGA AGES collections with Saturn games on them? Are they using in-house Saturn emulators? Even a PS2 release under the SEGA AGES banner would be pretty cool if the emulation was tight enough.

I would gladly pay $50 for this game if they made it available. 

The probability?  Pretty low, and only because it seems like these downloadable game services have been horribly underutilized so far, and I don't expect to see that change anytime soon.

I never played this until a few years ago when I modded my Saturn. It's really fun. I thought it was tough as nails though.

It is a damn hard game but that said it's fairly fun through the end assuming you have two players.  I don't have a physical copy anymore.  I'd love to get it again on one of the current gen systems.

I'm pretty sure it will happen eventually, a small dev like Treasure (even if they are "quirky") isn't likely to leave money on the table, especially for this generation.
