See, this is where the jaded comes in. You act like every good game reinvents the wheel. Uncharted borrows gameplay from a bunch of games, just like nearly every game does. It's the combination of the whole package that makes it unique.
Is there something wrong with wanting something different after having played the same games over and over and over and over AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER AGAIN for 20+ years? Jaded is one thing, being tired of the same thing over and over again is another.
Do I really have to explain this to you? Can you name me 3rd person action games that take place on a sunny island?
What difference does it make where the locale is if you end up doing the same thing as every other game, though?
Of course half the people commenting on it have played a demo which shows you 10 minutes of the most boring part of the game.
And that's Naughty Dog's fault. Most people don't say "Hey this demo's boring! IMMA RUN OUT AND BUY IT NOW!!," Tiger.
I'm on both sides of the fence in this thread, but there is one thing I think needs to be said to you, Tiger: People enjoy fucking with those who get up in arms over comments on the internet. They are messing with you, man! Screw 'em and post more of your thoughts and less arguing against them.
Personally I am tired of this "LOL INTERNETS HUR HUR" attitude that has begun to fester here. It's nice to come here and unwind and vent and whatever, but the gaming forum here has been going down the shitter a bit lately. "No homo," no joke, no nothing. Maybe I just expect too much from a place called "Evilbore."
