I'm not defending the ps3's current line up. I have said this twice already.

And I don't mean that a game is also out on the PC. Im talking about the style of games. Console gaming and PC gaming feel different. With xbox, its as if you hooked up a pc on your tv.

No, but you're ripping on evil M$ and its console's shit library so.

You're right though Resistance 2 will be great I hope. I still don't see how 2008 has very many more big games than 2007 did for PS3. Infamous, R2, KZ2, a GT demo, MGS4 vs Motorstorm, Resistance 1, Sigma, Ratchet, Uncharted, Heavenly Sword, Lair, F1 etc.

My main complaint wasn't really about the games, but about how distinguished mentally-challenged Microsoft as a company is. Because they pretty fucking are. And the fanboys bashing on the PS3 while their own console is just pretty much a wreck in every way save for online play and a couple of games like Halo 3, GOW, SR and AC.

Both Sony and MS seem to be trying to bring PC gaming to our living rooms.  The 360 does a better job of it and therefore is the better system.

gaming PC > poor man's gaming PC (360) >  homeless bum's gaming PC (PS3)

rrod snafu aside -- and it's a pretty big snafu -- how has ms been distinguished mentally-challenged? sony's price point, marketing, and system design are pretty damn distinguished mentally-challenged, and while they might not cause the immediate consumer discomfiture of an rrod, they aren't exactly conducive to market dominance, either.

I bought my PS3 for two primary reasons:

1. Final Fantasy XIII
2. Being able to import Japanese titles due to the PS3 being region free.

so, uh, why didn't you just wait until FF13 was available and save a couple hundred bucks?

Gundam Musou got announced in Japan, and if you know anything about me, you'd know that I'm uber weak when it comes to Gundam games.

Well I'm glad you're above all those dudes who just bash PS3 because they hate the company.

There are tons of fucking awesome games on 360 dude, I don't know where you're coming from. And it's got more variety too now. Not to mention its online marketplace actually being worth a damn, standard voice chat, inter-game invites and chat, guaranteed demos, achievements, etc etc

Aside from the big guys over at Capcom, Konami, SE, and Namco, Japanese developers seem afraid to move into the HD realm and away from their PS2 security blanket. And with the Wii being not all that different, I wonder if they'll ever move on?
Yeah, bear in mind that a lot of those devs are a bit small and the extra cost in producing an HD title worth a damn could potentially crush them if they don't do well enough.  It was the same early in the PS2 days - the games were sparse until 3-4 years into the cycle when the floodgates were thrown open to smaller developers by having finally reached enough of a user base to have a ROI with only their negligible sale-through percentages.  You can see why those people want to stay on PS2 or Wii from a cost stand point until an HD console cracks 10 million units.  At that point, you can sell to only 1% of the owners and still manage to pass 100k units sold, which is a hit by almost any smaller dev's standards.

I challenge anyone to say PSN is remotely comparable to XBL.

Yeah, XBLA is awesome and I smh that Sony can't get people to do games like that for them. Kind of embarrassing.

I know people who do based on Warhawk since it's technically a PSN title.

Not much appeals to me. A few titles only. And I already stated their online part was solid.
