Hard mode in this game is fucking broken. I fought the Abaddon (spider boss which is in the underground factory) multiple times on hard mode and it is impossible due to a few factors. I took him down fine in normal mode, but in hard mode it is just plain broken.
1. The boss has distinguished mentally-challenged amount of hp
2. Your attack power is considerably decreased while the bosses is increased significantly. This means longer, more distinguished mentally-challenged fights, rather than actually DIFFICULT ones.
3. Lack of healing items, or rather, revival items. Jade is my main man in one fight and he can go down in one attack that this boss does. Even with switching up AI settings it is really hard to get around. It's ridiculous how a revival item costs 1000 fucking gald a piece when you tend to have only 5k to spare. This makes some battles impossible since you'll be lacking in supplies, which you blew on weapons.
4. It takes forever to beat bosses. If you party members die or even if they DON'T die, boss fight fights can take forever and it's boring as shit. Hit enemy 3-4 times, run away, come back for more, repeat for 10 minutes.
It's not hard at all, they just changed the stats around so that you do shit damage, and the boss does distinguished mentally-challenged damage. That's not difficult, that's just broken mechanics.
Normal mode for me. Hard mode sounds neat but it really isn't. I love my games hard, but I also like them to be balanced well. It's not fun at all.
Holy shit. Next to the shit frame rate on the world map, where the camera takes almost 20 seconds to fully swing around, and this horrible game balance, I wonder how the hell this game left QA. It's like they just changed a couple of stats, called it hard mode and said lol hard mode
