Wow, thanks for the year and half article that paraphrses what Bill O'Reilly was saying two days earlier than this was written.
I love you too.

I personally feel that well written articles such as this age like wine.

i would really like a chance to examine what her hobbies are.  i doubt she's constantly doing something productive for her life and society as a whole.

i personally don't see the point in going out to restaurants to eat and i never would if my stupid wife didn't throw fits from time to time.  i go out for free, hang out at parties, and drink other people's beer.  when i go to bars i don't spend money there and still have a good time, and if i want to drink i bring that shit home for a fraction of the price, get tanked, and scream at the moon.  i wonder if she does the same.  i doubt it.  probably drives nice expensive gas guzzling cars and wastes her time and money talking about politics with her friends not realizing that her opinion is meaningless, uninformed, and she will never make a difference as long as she lives.  then she goes and writes and article about it, badly i might add, without understanding what the hell she's discussing in the first place.

i know how i live and i consciously make my decisions.  i like my games because they are my fun.  i don't have any other guilty pleasures and all my other hobbies are free (or damn close) so that whore can eat a bag of baby dicks.

fuck sometimes i wish it was socially acceptable to punch women in the face, because this one needs it.

It's simple.  She wrote this article because she has nothing better to do.  Her hobby IS criticizing others.

Yeah because the blocks just want to fall straight down, but you're like "STFU blocks, I own you! I'm going to make you spin around and fall to the side." Little known fact, but Hitler was an avid Tetris gamer.

She is right though. People that wait in line for 2 days to see a movie/video game console are deeply disturbed.

I also never understood the argument.  Why single out videogames?  It's simply a hobby like any other.  As with other hobbies, it is possible to become addicted in an unhealthy fashion, but I don't believe that the majority of gamers are obsessed to that degree.

I sure as hell don't play games as "an escape".

I've never done anything like that, but waiting in line for a few hours isn't so bad.  It's fun to hang around with fans of something you enjoy for a few hours sometimes.  It's not something I would do often, but it can occasionally be a good time.  I've seen people wait around for all sorts of events that have nothing to do with electronics.  What's the difference?  People will gather together and wait in line for all sorts of things.

Now, those that wait in line for DAYS are entirely different.  That is somewhat crazy and I've always wondered how and why people do such things.  Of course, in many cases, people do so in order to make money.  Greed knows no bounds, I suppose.

indeed - going to the gym is more an escape than video games

for 1 hour or so i just run/work out like an idiot and the stress of work just falls into nothingness...

OMG EXERCISERS GET A LIFE MORONS

no no no you fool, real men don't 'escape' from their horrible modern existences - you're supposed to let the stress build and build and build 'til you grab a pump-action shotgun and stalk from cubicle to cubicle, blasting holes in every motherfucker that's ever sent you a snippy email or given you an impossible deadline. SO HEALTHY
