So Gamestop didn't have God of War, so I picked up The Godfather: Mob Wars.

Holy fuck, so far this game kicks GTA's ass in every way... EVEN THE STORY IS BETTER!  Combat is way more fucking interesting and the territories thing is pretty cool.  WTF?  How come no one told me this game wasn't so bad?

Godfather is shockingly good. I posted about it a ways back. That said, it gets old after awhile and the mission variety isn't nearly as interesting as GTA. Sitll, I'm hoping GTA4 picks up on some of it's close combat options- Shoving bakers into ovens and throwing bitches out a window was never so fun!

Also, it was the last game that my wife really liked. She got a real kick out of it

Yeah, I'm sure it will.  It's EA, but they have some great and well executed ideas here.  GTA could stand to learn a few things

For the most part it's pretty fun. It's also over kind of quick, but. There is a great deal of variety maybe not in the missions themselves, but in the application of the game mechanics. If that makes any sense. I kind of wish the cars were a little more distinct. But the requiste stealth mission is awful, even worse for the fact that it concerns a classic movie moment.
