but yes the truth is that euros are brand loyal and Sony's Playstation brand is incredibly strong in the Euroland.
The PS3 could have been a complete piece of shit, and it would still have sold well once the silly initial price was dropped.
Sony really would have to do something SPECTACULARLY bad to fook up europe.

I actually got accosted by a FF/Sony Zealot on the train the other day.... I was playing Apollo Justice on my DS, then this dude taps me on my shoulder.. 'what game are you playing?', Im like 'oh, its Apollo Justice, its like a courtroom based adventure game'
him: 'Is it like Final Fantasy style?'
me: 'Ummm... no, its more like a point and click adventure game... you know on PCs...'
him: 'fuck I just ordered a new copy of FF7, do you know that theres only 200 left in the world? I just filled out my license grid in FF12. Have you played Final fantasy 7?'
me: 'yeah, its a pretty awesome game, Ive completed it a couple of times'
him: 'do you know that Square have FF planned up until FF18 on PS4? My friend has a PS3 and Im going to borrow it off him when FF13 come out. Have you seen FFVII Advent Children? the graphics in FF15 are going to look that good in the actual game. Im going to buy my own PS3 shortly too'
This version of events is slightly abridged (ie. he talked even more extra bullshit than that, that I cant remember right now) but that dialogue above was 100% true.
I tried telling this misguided dude about Lost Odyssey and how if he was into the PS1 FF games he sohuld check that out and Blue Dragon also but he wasnt even listening.
Why is it that so many morons are gaga about final fantasy but cant even realise that an rpg with a different title can exist and be as good?
