Uncharted's supposed to be the best looking console game ever yet even its commercial has CG graphics.   Even back in the 32 bit days, Sony tried to pass off CG movies as real time graphics.

I was talking more about the PS3's unveiling at E3 2005.  Many people, including some that work in the gaming industry, actually believed that the PS3 was capable of those graphics.  It just annoys me that Sony is constantly trying to mislead the public about the power of their hardware.

Most of the realtime stuff were still fake 'cause they weren't running on PS3 hardware.  Cohen mentioned in the MGS4 thread that the final game doesn't look like the original demos.

2 of Nvidia's fastest GPUs in SLI at that time could have already outperformed a PS3.   And that's probably what the PS3 demos were running on. 

I don't know why anyone would continue to deny that Sony tries to misrepresent what its hardware is capable of.  Did you just forget about the stuff about the PS2 having Toy Story graphics or the PS3 having 2 x 1080P output with 120fps?

Make a game that looks 'avarage'.

Release a few enhanced dev shots of cut scenes with mabey 1 or 2 enhanced gameplay shots in there.

Wait for the ps2 fanboys to jump all over them hyping them up as 'real gameplay shots!'

I'm definitely no insider - but there is nothing about the racing action in this video that screams CG. It looks great, but not that unexpected of a boost for a dev going to a second gen PS3 game from a game that already looked great.
