Just spent like... 3 hours dorking in multi. I was against it, but for the most part it's pretty damn amusing with people you know. Only Deathmatch is fun by yourself with random strangers.
Deathmatch - Pretty usual stuff, just a bunch of people clumped together wailing on each other. Simply sit back and have them beat each other, then run in for the kill. Also, stealing peoples kills is hilarious, cause they're like "omfg u turd". You can't help but lol when you toss a brick and watch the guy running at you crumple.
Team Deathmatch - Same as above
Bum Rush - This is extremely frustrating, when you are playing as the Bums. Reason being is that the SCU people get an Assault Rifle, and all they have to do is find a nice corner or tunnel to camp in, and they are pretty much invincible for the entire round, since a single bullet can take you down (it's meant that way, it is a Bum Rush after all). When you're SCU it's like OMFG WOW YOU CANT KILL ME and you kinda feel bad for the bums because you were just on that side, but revenge is sweet. Also, no fun if there is only 1 SCU guy (i.e. you and nobody else). The goal of Bum Rush is to basically survive as the SCU, or kill the SCU as the Bums within the time limit.
Crime Scene - Pretty nice idea, basically the same as Search and Destroy for COD4. You have to scour the level for the "evidence" (heads in a trunk), while the bums hunt you down to protect it. If you die, that's it, you're out. Can be pretty frustrating. If teams are uneven, then just forget about this mode, quit and save yourself the trouble.
I'm having more fun with Deathmatch out of all of them. There's a nice selection of levels, but most of them are really cramped, hence the clumps of people just beating each other senseless. I love the Farm House level. Just grab the axe, and lurk in the dark corners... waiting for someone... then run out and strike.
There's an achievement for 1000 kills, and just from tonight I've hit about 414, so those kills rack up pretty quickly. There wasn't really an issue with lag in all my matches, but sometimes it would kick in, it may have been something on my end though.
