the story is not bad, the most offensive thing about the game though is having to rewatch cutscenes and not being able to skip them.  SHUT THE FUCK UP ALREADY

Yea, but if you want 1000 you've gotta pick up hundreds of fuckin flags with no value. You get like 700 just for going through it once though.

So the flags don't do anything to boost your abilities?  Screw them then.  There aren't even achievements for PC.

I love doing the leaps of faith.  Especially the ones at the Eagle icon locations where you get map info.

I'm still missing a few flags, in Jerusalem and the Kingdom.  Acre was the best for flag hunting because the city was divided into thirds so you had a smaller area to search if you were missing one.

I'm also missing one Templar... somewhere in the Kingdom I think. :maf

It was my GOTY2007 as well.  I had bulk hours of fun.

I've been playing it for the last couple weeks (well when I can).

Super repetitive, the free running controls are dicey as hell at times, and the combat is so canned that its not that fun.

I'm not sure why I keep playing this over DMC4.

I collect bodies in the church in Jerusalem because they'll keep spawning inside and I can stand in the doorway and kill every one of them.  after a while, the textures start popping in on the body from some distance and the framerate begins to chug.  But it can hold a surprising amount of bodies on screen at once

I've never done a mass killing of citizens before, but I really should.  I'll have to try that in Jerusalem.  One of the best things about the game is how many dead bodies it can shunt around.

:bow AC :bow2 indeed.

That's the only way you can play it 'cause Assassin's Creed is fucking excruciating if you play it for too long.  The first part in Damascus was so boring to me that I shelved the game after I bought it in November and I didn't touch it again until just last week.  I will say that the game becomes a little (and I stress, "a little") more interesting once you learn the counter move and get the hell out of Damascus and go someplace else like Acre.  Entering Acre for the first time and fighting the guards outside the city walls using the counter move was pretty damn satisfying.  Total Braveheart moment.

Demi, I can't deny that your complaints are valid.  But I find the game enjoyable despite these problems.

It's fun to just romp around aimlessly because the game does such a fantastic job of capturing the atmosphere of a medieval Holy Land.

The extra mission types in the PC version also make the game feel a little less repetitive.  Even the new escort missions aren't bad because the escorted person is rarely threatened and you can just focus on the fighting.

My biggest complaints are the tedious real world sequences and the boring overworld that is in between the different cities.  Also, so far I don't have many options on how to carry out assassinations.

For the sequel, it'd be nice if I can choose between stealth or brute force when taking out the targets.

Obviously the game clicks with some people and not others.  I got about 50-70 hours from this game, whereas say Crackdown only barely held my attention long enough to finish the main missions.

The few people I know in real life who have AC really love the game but for some reason many people online don't.

I'm just really glad it sold enough to guarantee a sequel.  The awesome ending has me dying to know where things go next.
