you can hold click too lol. when using a ranged weapon you can queue up a second target, so if you time it right you can just click from target to target. Im lubbin muh hunter/storm: sage class. Let me know what class you end up picking so I can save any cool blues I find. I dont really do the online thing cept to give people equipment.

Well if you go Warfare + Defense you'll be a Conqueror. Or you can go Warfare + Storm you will be a Thane, which still has some defensive options with nimbus but some of the magic dps options which can help late game.

Still, Defense has shield bash and charge, both of which get crazy powerful right away. you'll definitely want to go warfare first if you wanna be a barbarian type. Or you can use Warfare + Dream, and be a Harbinger. Dream is so OP :)

if you want to dual weild harbinger is totally the way to go, I had a ridiculous one on legendary and loved the character, it had monstrous DPS.  You will die from time to time because of the lack of defense but it never got too me too much.

The best defense is a good offense! :)

Defense tree has some decent DPS shield skills, I got through ok as Defense Dream..but Dream can make anything good.

Level 30 now and am in the Orient. Pro tip if you ever play a character with Storm-maxed out "Squall" is ridiculously easy mode at normal, apparently (though I do have some serious elemental damage bonus gear too).

Also, if you are playing through and not getting great blues to drop by act 2, that's ok. Just take your best greens and add a relic, usually they can wind up being better than the blues that drop with the right relic.

I've only gotten a handful of caster blues so far. I got the Epgyptian skirt thing from the second Telkiene and now with my big staff shooting electricity I am like some sort of CRAZY STARGATE WITCH or something.

My only complaint with the game still is how much the Greece act blogs down on that first run through on Normal. Epypt and the Orient are just so much better paced and have better environments.

diablo 2's first act is pretty fun with a lot of interesting places. It's acts 2 and 3 that are all  :yuck awful.

The only memorable part about the first act is the burning olive grove. Unlike Egypt with the awesome cities and pyraminds and crap or the Orient with the great wall, hanging gardens, and terracotta army.

Diablo II first act looked like Diablo 1 in high res! Act 2 is awesome! The 7 tombs at the end are perfect loot runs. 3 is a nightmare of brown and green.

Ramses is the only one I go to, farmed the Act 2 Telkeine like 10 times yesterday to grind up a few levels before hitting Babylon.

Hades is seriously awesome. It's actually an underworld setting that's not full of boring reds and browns.

i have two character builds right now

main pc hosts a "guardian" -- defense + nature
laptop hosts a "battlemage" -- melee + earth

since i am sick, the latter is getting all the attention

neither is optimal since they split the rank up stat gains across strength and int (and a little dex) without focus, but so far, so good

Greece is easily the weakest area of the game.
