You can enable AA on Mass Effect PC on 8-series Geforce cards through the nVidia control panel. Works fine.

ME PC does have some odd texturing issues-Garrus' face, for example, but for the most part it looks very, very good.

I was also a Wrex/Garrus guy, because they have great interaction...which at the same time is a shame because I wanted to get some other guys along but these were just so cool that I didn't really dare to. I went to great lenghts to get them (especially Wrex) the best and most goodlooking armor and weapons. There's some awesome looking gear out there.

It's the more 'directed' dialogue sequences that make you feel like you're watching a sci-fi movie.

I saw the console version of this for $40 yesterday and was thinking of getting it, but decided to wait till I cleared out a bit more of my backlog. Isn't this game supposed to be pretty short at least?

You can rush through it in well under 20hrs. I did everything and finished around 24hrs.

I'm picking up my second playthrough where I left off (early citadel) and I'm picking Wrex again. I can't not pick him...maybe on my 3rd playthrough.

The environments are great, it's the close ups, with jaggy flashy shadows and odd clipping, that really kill it for me. Then again, those things plague practically every console game this gen (and apparently, the PC version is a quick and dirty console port, though definitely better than the 360 version.)

I just got all the achievements in this game last week. It took me about 5 playthroughs and 100+ hours. Awesomely fun game, but I hope that ME2 is more polished.

I so dig Admiral Hacket's voice (bishop from Aliens)

Together with Wrex the best voice talent. I love it when he radio's in for another job. I hope they show him in ME2 and he looks exactly like that (and he's a cyborg!)

Don't you use the 'spell' to suppress those mercenaries biotics ability? I think there are upgrades to armor that are % resistant to biotics too

Just finished it yesterday with my LVL 38. Vanguard.

Gotta agree with Borys that it's the best looking game in '08. Game simply looks amazing in a greater than 1080P resolution.

In terms of gameplay, I can totally see why some people find it boring. The first couple of hours are mostly composed of running around and talking to random people. But the action picks up a lot after you leave the citadel. I like how tactical strategy is required during combat but the shooting/cover mechanics feel very crude for a modern game. Overall, the game is about a 7/10. It's the sorta game that you could either love or hate.

I'm with ya, Borys. ME is astounding.

Game is filled with flaws, and yet, still absolutely amazing. I can't put my finger on it. It would be an easy game to hate. There's a dozen things wrong with it I can name off the top of my head. And yet, still amazing.
