i refuse to believe those fucks haven't started on FFXIII. It is impossible. I'm sure theyre using their trademark Square enix way of doing things and keeping mum entirely. They did it for Crisis Core they're doing it for FF13 and DQ9

Current belief is that its been developed, heavily, on the PC and its a matter of porting it to the PS3 (and eventually the 360).

It seems like when the Prez was asked about whether the game will be released on the PC, he acted very coy about it. Wow, FFXIII to the PC too!

Jesus, you people are so behind the times. Square is passé and hasn't been relevant in like a decade. Of course, videogames are so lame and distinguished mentally-challenged that they have no sense of following the cultural zeitgeist. Square is old and busted. By my count, they haven't made a truly superlative title since Internal Section.

Also, FF games always take the better part of a year to localize. The porting won't hold it back. Of course, I bet Sony dolts will forget that and blame MS when it takes 8 months to come to NA.

i'm gonna import the japa version and then buy it on 360 when it's released here.

i really suspect it was "in development" with a very small core team....like how crisis core was developed until development progressed far enough that they brought in enough people to finish it off.

Man you see, Japan has this honor thing about them that my Japanese friend, Sensei Marky Mark-san, was telling me about and he never lies because he's a professor of English in Japan so I know he knows what he's talkin about. See cause SE now went over to the white system and totally betrayed their country's honor and now the japanese will turn their noses up at square and proceed with mass defecation on all their products cus that's how they flow. So here's my question: Do you guys think that the original envisioned technical grade/scope for FF Thirteen has since fallen back to earth for S-E since they realised that the PS3 is a deal more difficult to develop for? And in such case has since been adjusted to make the benchmark Three-Sixty friendly? I can understand going multi-platform, that's just business today. Hell, putting Thirteen multi-platform could mean even more funds for S-E to create more FF Seven tangent story lines. Because everyone wants to play a game based on Yuffie's childhood...

In fact, the 360 port will probably make things worse. FFXIII already seems to be a clusterfuck. Maybe bringing it to another system might have been the cause but information has been sparse and adding a new character is supposed to be news. Meanwhile, FF has lost most of its relevance in the scheme of gaming. Once, it was the premier franchise and now, after numerous port jobs and shaky sequels, it has lost a lot of its prestige. Only hard up Sony fans still pretended like it was a huge franchise. Another game that was supposed to make the 360 sales grind to 0, like Haze, Uncharted, Virtua Fighter 5, Metal Gear Solid 4, and Lair were supposed to.

I'd almost be willing to bet that it was out of financial need that the 360 port was made.

I know, with games like the Sims and Popcap games and Yahoo games and all that jazz... PC seems to have either the super casual, shallow games or the super hardcore games for 30 year old ponytailed fatties (WOW). no in between type stuff which is what the consoles specialize in.
