I put him on the ignore list when he was defending some shitty news and when he was rabidly defending some crap game.

I don't know how to ignore someone easily, so I have to go to the Portal and then CP and then Ignore. Too much effort for something quick. So if I have you on ignore, you'd have to bother me enough to the point where I felt bothered enough to go and change it. Likewise, if I have someone on ignore, I rarely will take the time to unignore. Exception being if they PM pictures of women with large tits. If they took the effort to give me that gesture of good will, then I can take the time to take you off the list.

I mostly ignore people when I'm sick of their shit polluting decent arguments. Excessive gif posting, dumb-shit kiddie pool argumentative shit, that sort of board noise. Sometimes it's temporary for the duration of the argument, but some people are just wastes of space. Being allowed to ignore and even "mute" people is one of the luxuries of this type of interaction, and it's a decent counter-measure to the equally unrealistic luxury of nerdy twigs behaving like aggressive, obnoxious thugs.
