i really enjoyed my time with Conan. you'll probably like this better as there are "real" mages.
but i swear to christ, my experience with priests in this game is piss poor. i took a witch elf to rank 6 yesterday and because the dark elf priest is a melee class, they would focus more on melee than on healing people. it's like "wtf, i do more damage than you possibly can. keep me the fuck alive."
but nope.
also there are some really obnoxious bugs here that weren't in the preview weekend. in PVE sometimes "ranged" attackers will get "stuck" and become unattackable, but they'll still damage you. so you have to run around and try to get them to move at which point they MAY become attackable.
dwarf rune priest was fun up to about lvl 8 and now it's rough to PVE. I can kill tanks np in RVR, but they can be problematic in PVE. RVR however is a lot of fun regardless. I just queue up and play the scenarios over and over as they become available, questing in the interim.
