When I was living in southern Germany, I shit you not, my German hosts thought it was weird that I showered twice daily.

It's indeed considered a little bit weird here. Once a day is normal though.

1. ---it was a jab I did at Europeans hygiene standards. Getting hated on a joke you do on yourself like that is really bad.

2. I have been in Hospital for four weeks because of my skin condition when i was around 13 years old, and enduring shit since then, so if you think taking a shower every 2 days makes me a stinker, well shove it somewhere whereever you like, i cannot change that.

I shower every other day, saves water and keeps my skin and hair from drying out as badly in the winter.
I don't believe I smell too bad, haven't heard any complaints and I've lived with people who would complain if I did.  I don't sweat much.

Yup, I'm another OCD person when it comes to the shower. If I think I missed a spot, I'll wash my whole body over again. Usually my shower is pretty routine - shave (every other day), then wash body (with washcloth!), then wash face (also with washcloth), then clean ears, then shampoo, then finally rinse.

that's pretty odd, you should start with your head first.
