I'm trying to get out of my job and out of DC and am combing craig's list and various other places in an attempt to find gainful employment in NYC and since we have a few members in NYC, I figured it would be worth checking just to see if anyone had any leads or connections.

I do networking, voip, telecom stuff.

telecom/voip/networking stuff predominately.

and i'm looking predominately on craig's list

i had a relationship w/ someone i built last year but then they sold their company and don't need me anymore

le sigh.

i keep forgetting about stuff like gawker jobs.

by amazing coincidence i went through a phone screening with the CEO of a company who currently does broadband solutions but is looking to add a VoIP/IPBX product to be a sales engineer/broadband support. It went very well. I think we're going to try to interview and hopefully I can get the job fairly quickly.

i have an interview next friday doing sales engineering for a start up voip company.

if it goes as well as the email exchanges between myself and the ceo, i may have a job in nyc very shortly

i'm teaching myself how to use a version of the product now so i can ask any specific technical questions. it's trixbox ce running in vmware player, but i'm not savvy enough with the CLI to get it doing anything on my own yet. but i have plenty of time to take a look
