It is still pretty common. Marriage and kids is the prime goal of many people. Amongst people I grew up with, I am the odd one out by still being unmarried or without kids.

Are you fucking serious? Almost every chick I knew from HS is either 1. married or 2. pregnant 3. single with a kid or 4. married/dating some guy and has a kid.

Almost ALL of them have kids.

And I know tons of ppl I knew back then married or whatever mostly because of unexpected pregnancies.

Not one of my friends (all in the 25-28 age range) have kids, and only one couple is married (the husband and wife don't even live together, they live with their respective families, it's a long story), a few are engaged with weddings for '09 and '10, and none of them live out on their own. I guess that's what happens when you live in an area with an insanely high cost of living.
