I'm 21. We live in the same city in Michigan. Unless she's living in a trailer park/projects I don't understand where's she's coming from about marriage being "the in thing" now.

And to make things worse...she's apparently conservative and very christian now. sigh. She got kicked out of school after a few months but during the time we were together I thought she was very cool

Sometimes when I look at a smiling man I usually imagine his face drenched in semen. Do you do that too?

Get on it, fast. Unless she has stretch marks or something. /barf

Considering her religion/conservatism I doubt she's looking to hook up like that, but clearly she's interested in dating (eh). I wonder if she'll try re-converting me to religion :/

I lost touch with most people I knew in high school once I started college, aside from a few weddings I went to. (Yes, weddings at 21-23. Welcome to Utah.) Anyway, I skipped my 10-year reunion, and nobody's tried contacting me since. *knocks on wood*

I just don't use Facebook or Myspace.  For all I know, my inbox is full of shit, but I never checked it.  Last time I did there were a few people from HS trying to get me to be friends with them or something on the site.  Actually, the weirdest one was my friend's younger sister trying to add me.  I just stopped going and hopefully they forgot about me.

I'm doing good how about you? Right now I'm at EMU majoring in accounting which is boring. No, I'm not married; I'm about 10 years too young for that ha

What have you been up to?

We'll see where this goes. The funny thing is that I know about 5 Christian chicks who have asked me about marriage, or their moms have asked me about it; my grandma has also been trying to get me to go out with this overweight choir singer from her church for years. I'd imagine many religious people marry young but jeez

How do wiccans find anyone to love them, let alone multiple people.

I guess other wiccans, but still.

It is still pretty common. Marriage and kids is the prime goal of many people. Amongst people I grew up with, I am the odd one out by still being unmarried or without kids.

oh man scary

I have turned down a marriage proposal before. I was never in a rush and everyone who did marry and have kids right away now has this trapped and longing look in their eye.

You are supposed to have kids when you are young. That way when they are old enough and doing their own shit, you are still young enough and can still cool, active shit too. By time I'm 45, my youngest will be 15 and I'll be traveling the globe on a jet pack.

Are you fucking serious? Almost every chick I knew from HS is either 1. married or 2. pregnant 3. single with a kid or 4. married/dating some guy and has a kid.

Almost ALL of them have kids.

And I know tons of ppl I knew back then married or whatever mostly because of unexpected pregnancies.

Take my advice and stay away. Trust me on this...

Not one of my friends (all in the 25-28 age range) have kids, and only one couple is married (the husband and wife don't even live together, they live with their respective families, it's a long story), a few are engaged with weddings for '09 and '10, and none of them live out on their own. I guess that's what happens when you live in an area with an insanely high cost of living.

Totally. My current gf hasn't gone through anything like that yet, but my last gf...sick mornings, late periods. I probably lost a few years off my life worrying back then.

And the capper was when she thought it would be hillarious to "April Fools" me by telling me she was pregnant, then flying off the handle because I was at no point "happy for us".

Yeah, this winter is muckhole-neuter season. I've put it off longer than I should have to begin with.

There was a pamphlet at my doctors office that had a no knife no needle vasectomy technique.

I've heard a few scary stories about the reliability of this procedure, but I haven't really done any real research yet.
