Are they selling the Rock Band 2 guitar solo? I forgot how shitty both the GH3 and RB1 guitars were. My strum bar is broken on the RB1 guitar and the yellow button on my GH3 guitar is dyslexic or something.

And Nine in the afternoon is a horrible song. I don't know hwy I decided to play it.

I'm pretty confused about how unlocking song works. They just seem to show up at some point, which is weird given how the majority of changes to the platform were made in the name of accessibility.

Alex Chilton is fuck yeah awesome, as is that Jagged Winter song or whatever.

Just comparing the RB1 guitar to the RB2 guitar, how much better is it? does it actually feel like you are doing something when you play and not barely pressing anything?

And the music video effect in RB2 is awesome.

Guitar difficulty is way easier... just a few upper tier songs that are pretty brutal and wrist-killers (tons of 16th notes - or whatever the really squished together columns are), along with chord swapping

I see they've nerfed overdrive for solo vocalists. In RB1, when you were using star power, the gauge didn't deplete during breaks between phrases. Now it does. :'(

How does it work? Do you select the option in RB2 and then insert the RB1 disc and it copies shit? I assumed the option applied only to downloadable songs.

You have to load up RB1 and get the most recent patch, then go to the Options menu and there's an option for Export Songs. You have to pay 400 points, but then you can copy over all your RB1 songs onto your HDD. Or at least all but three, apparently they weren't able to relicense Enter the Sandman, Run to the Hills, or Paranoid.

No one has the new instruments yet? I'm curious to hear guitar impressions.

Also, sounds like bass is the same boring setup, which is fine for continuity. I wish they would add rhythm guitar, though. It would be so much fun playing lead and rhythm, although a lot of the times the two charts would overlap. It could be great though, if one person hits the chord/note and the other doesn't and it makes the whole thing out of tune.
