I got to stage 2 of the burning windmill, but the mobs there raped me.  I'm like level 6, too, and they are like champion class mobs, so I got put down like a bitch.

Yeah even I cant tank those alone at 6, their fire spell is argh. It usually takes 2-3 people at level 6 per monster. Lets just say I was a busy little healer that public quest.

I finished windmill and the fort. You need to hang around till other players show. Most of the solo quests are ezpeasy. I did one RvR match for the RvR quest and ranked No 2! Which was shocking since I remembering dying a few times.

Just did the windmill like 4 times in order to get the best rep items in town.  I am FUCKING LOVING this game.  I like how it encourages teamwork more than WoW.  I was in 3 different parties over the course of the night, and they were all great.  I hope the game maintains this quality level.

Lvl 6! Was at the burning windmill andd that invaded fort most of tonight. Either off-tanking or healing. Secondary target is so awesome. Makes healing even a group of players that isnt grouped easier. I wish my stupid trophy worked, I want a tome hanging from my belt. Also the expression on the NPCs face when reading the recall tome is great haha

awesome night tonight. showed up in norland and went to the RvR zone. Order controlled the 2 points and the dock too. Within 30mins Destruction had taken all three points and pushed the order back. All that remained were homos who kept running back into the HERO mobs.

Glad everyone is enjoying the game. I'm over on Averheim playing my Ironbreaker and got my little gyrocopter mount this weekend. Rank 20, Reknown rank 18, it gets hard keeping them together as you level, even when you are like and are like always in a scenario.

Had a fun time last night in the Dwarf tier 2 RvR lake last night-a good 30 on 30 RvR scrum that went back and forth for a good hour and a half before I had to log off for the night. Good fun, reminded me of the old DAoC BGs with their big rolling fights.

I did the Altdorf sewer instances this weekend and, while they aren't very complicated instances when compared to, say, WoW, they are good fun-short and to the point while still having some interesting bosses, including one whose very design is to make you use the entire path of the dungeon that you cleared getting to it. Neat stuff-again, not OMG AWESUM group instance design like WoW but I always thought that WoW 5 mans were overengineered and overcomplex for their intended audience anyway.

the ones that rank up from PQs and quests is Influence isn't it? Renown Rank is from RvR.

The RVR is Norland is just like Tarren Mill/Southshore battles, but with objectives and levelling. It's so fucking brilliant.

I like the game, but it is, at its core, an odd marriage between DAoC and WoW. I think WoW has more focus on things like PVP and STATZ, while Warhammer seems to provide a much more seemless overall experience - everything you do is connected to the great effort of waaagh or whatever.

I think as someone who has played MMORPGs since text based MUDs, I have become so jaded all the extra character and noise and npcs that do nothing but walk back and forth do more to alienate me then bring me in. I avoid town because its too busy to the point of only feeling functional if I nav strictly via the mini-map. There's too many NPCs that sell the same stuff but have different NPC classifications under their name, whats with that. Do we really need two people in the first town selling the same stuff standing right next to each other? It just clutters up the town like crazy. Its bad enough I already have people running around jumping in my face.

I've also found the people who play on a ROLEPLAY SERVER are even more anti social when around people outside of their guild than WoW. The most I got from someone was a Witch Hunter saying 'you hinder me' when I healed him and then he ran off only to die to a few monsters. This isnt a fault of the game, but its attracted a certain type, for sure.

On the plus side that's a very small part of the GAMEPLAY experience. I do also dont totally like the flow of battle in the RvR, but I was never a big fan of DAoC RvR anyway so its clear im biased.

To clarify if anyone is confused:

Scenario: Instanced battles with one objective that you queue up for using the icon in the upper right corner beside your mini-map.

RvR: "Lakes" on the map where traditional PvP with multiple objectives takes place. These areas are not instanced.

TVC had issues with a few copies, it had to do with copies going out before non-collectors were allowed in.

alright, i am a gay elf swordmaster named "hethleth" on ostermark. i got rank 2! man, this feels like daoc, but i don't spend like 30 hours sitting and recharging health after every fight, which is very very welcome. ui is pretty janky and confused, like a credible but amateurish attempt at mimicking wow. ah well, it's fun.

When you gain renown ranks, you get a few renown points to put in a stat like +1 to str or something. A lot of the renown gear is better than the regular gear I've found, but that's only because I haven't done very many public quests and it seems like most of the drops I find from mobs are for a different class than sorcerer.

If you don't do PVP, I have no idea why you'd waste your time with this game. It's clearly and completely built around RVR. The PVE is ok but there's like no dungeons at all. Near as I can tell the first dungeon on Order doesn't become available until like level 15.

Nice, maxed influence in chapter 3, got all the good stuff, got all the best renown stuff I can. SLEDGEHAMMER OF VENGEANCE. Ill probably still do all the chapter 3 quests just for the experience. The chapter 3 public quests are kind of a pain, so just killed spiders in Chapter I of the spider cave public quest. 100 inf a kill! I did join a small group cause they wanted to try and complete it, but the baby spiders she spawns are murder. We woulda been ok with just us 3 without those around
