The Mansion (La Manoir)
Fun little French horror/comedy that feels like a trip back to the early 2000s American culture, from the characters to the plot to the overall vibe. It was actually sort of refreshing even though if it was in English and came out back in the day, it'd be absolutely be direct to DVD and likely something you'd gladly skip over at the video store. But like I said, it has its appeal these days.

Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas
Should have watched before Bore-con. Fun but aimless. I also didn't totally grasp the performance Depp was trying, felt a bit tryhard to me.

Beyond the Black Rainbow
Frustrating because you can tell there's a spark, but it's stretched much too thin to sustain the movie. Some pretty haunting scenes and ideas though, and obviously the production design was great. Acting was iffier, and after a while I started to get annoyed with the "music." If there's individual tracks and not just a single 93 minute song I'd be surprised, because it all sounds exactly the same. Good for building tension, but way overused.
