They're probably going to kill him off in the end.  :-\

I wish they would release the Young Indiana Jones series on DVD complete with eyepatch old man Indy.

Young Indy IS out on DVD. All three seasons. They retail for about $150 each, but you can get all three for that on Amazon. The extras they put on them are INSANE.

And they won't kill him due to Young Indy. Young Indy is 100% canon and even referenced in the last movie.

Yeah, me too. I wonder why it's never happened. Oh, wait. They did. And they're more expensive than god for a show well over a decade old.

Are you guys sure? Because I had heard that they removed all the scenes where Indy was old and had an eyepatch.

I am not a fan of Kick Ass at all. That movie was horribly over-rated but I liked her quite a lot in it, not to the extent of Cage though.

She is in Scorsese's new movie I am curious to see what he does with her.

Is it cool to hate on her now or something? The master Scorsese put her in his new film because he saw Kick Ass and loved her in it.

Scorsese is doing a Harry Potter-esque 3D family fantasy movie with her, Christopher lee, Jude law, and some others. It's a big budget epic blockbuster with lots of action says his editor. Odd move for him.

Sure that it's canon? Can we even count canon for Lucas-written stuff anymore? He can't even maintain internal consistency in what he's written for Star Wars.

Finally saw "Up," though it was in Japanese with English subtitles. BluRay are really gorgeous. Kind of wish I'd seen it in 3D. The opening was superb. The rest of it was typical Pixar execution, pretty much flawless.

I think the big thing lacking from the Arnold movies were impressive, primeval locations, like huge temples hidden in untouched jungles and massive, bronze-age cities. Conan the Barbarian had a big temple in it, but everything else was mostly just near-desert scrubland.

It's a great script, though. And a lot of fun. Oliver Stone had some pretty clever tricks to develop a set of characters without almost no dialogue.

The reboot is closer to the Howard stories than the original. There's no Riddle of Steel or slave Conan apparently.

Oh, I agree, it's definitely a fun movie. But when you watch the movie and then read the stories, the locations do feel somewhat lacking.

Not just that, but it wasn't really the Robert E. Howard Conan. They took bits from some Conan stories, mixed those up with elements from earlier Kull stories, and invented other stuff.

Yeah, still not optimistic.
It's from the director of the remake of Friday the 13th and the Texas Chain Saw Massacre. As well as Pathfinder. I have no idea why Manabyte is hyping this based on that track record.

Not to mention from the writers of Sahara, like one of the 30 Halloween sequels, and a straight to video sequel to the Crow.

yesterday we didn't do shit but watch movies

Mystery Team- for the amount of hilarious comedians in this film, it sure was a horrible unfunny flop that deserved to die.

Spring Breakdown- this was actually very funny but strangely exploitative for a WOMYN POWER movie.

Hopscotch- so fucking good.  everyone should watch this on netflix instant

Murder By Death- it's a literate 70s Clue, the more you know and like about classic detective literature, the more you'll enjoy this.  i fucking loved it.  absolutely wonderful pastiche / spoof

Land of the Lost

I really enjoyed it.  Apparently the intentionally shitty special effects and the way it made fun of its time-traveling adventurer theme went way over most critics' heads.  Just example 907832047329047 why a movie critic never gave a useful opinion.

Death Race

All I knew about this was that it had Jason Statham and cars.  It's brimming over with car combat, cleavage, and cheesy one-liners by the hottest guy to every undergo male pattern baldness. If you can honestly watch this movie and not say that you were entertained, than you are a horrible human being.

Solitary Man

Saw it at the theater yesterday with the family for something to do on 4th of July. Decent little dramaedy. Not great or anything but it was solid. Mostly 90 minutes of Michael Douglas fucking 18 year old college girls and then getting sage advice from Danny Devito.

Not enough of the milf Mary Louise Parker :(.
