Is my Powerbook busted? Help!

So, when I went to turn on my Powerbook today it just goes BEEP BEEP BEEP and the "sleep light" on the front flashes. Thenb the light stays on. It will not boot up. Any help?

Apple product? Drain the battery, then charge it again.

IIRC Macs use a non-standard startup chime when they have a hardware issue. Different noises mean different things, whatevers, but if you don't have the normal 'bhong' sound, you've probably got to take it in to a shop.

3 beeps and 4 flashes. I have a feeling that it'll be cheaper to get a new PC laptop than to cough it up for a repair

My AppleCare ran out about 6 months ago. This PBook is almost 4 years old

...It's just that we receive it when we take our hardware in for repair.  :'(
