that's the bare minimum people have to spend. there are a lot of people who spend more, though... i remember i think it was Spencer, he got a damn iPod the first year we did secret santa here.

no one should feel bad about not giving a lot/spending a lot.

I don't know how Cloud did it, but over on GAF, I wrote all the names on individual pieces of paper, and then had my wife draw the names out of a hat.

I sent my package today, priority w/insurance and delivery confirmation because I'm paranoid. After I packaged it up, I though "Hmmm, I probably should have put a card or something in there" but I decided to just put "From: Joe Molotov" on the shipping label, but then I was afraid that might get it flagged by some overzealous postal employee, so in the end I just put "Joe M." and sent it.

Got my gift (Wednesday)

The spicy hot pickles were omg awesome. They're a big hit here. Had to chase everyone away from them or else there would be nothing left. The chocalate bars imbued with chili pepper are great also. I didn't even know they made such a confection. The chili isn't overpowering in the chocalate but it is subtle to perfection. Nice package topped off with a dvd and a memento of distantmantra's home city.

I need to know where the pickles are from. I always want to have some in the house.
