A couple of years later, my brother bought a second hand computer that I believe had the processing power of a stick of gum. It had a ~160 MB hard drive and 8 MB of RAM, I think. Windows 3.1, too.

The first computer I bought was a 800 MHz Pentium III with Windows Millennium, with a 30 GB HDD and 128 MB of RAM. Got that in 2000, I believe. Replaced that one with my present PC in 2004.

Yeah, then at home we looked at the pics again because we only had a limited time to download and save them at the library (3.5" are SLOOOOOOOOW) and we wanted to use our limited budget (we were pretty young) for as much naked celeb pics as possible.

The day we got internet at home was so good, it was 1997-1998 and we were the first town in Belgium where the new ISP established itself and introduced cable internet so our mom took that and we went at a blistering speed of 700-800kilobyte/s. My cousin always came to us to download his new linux distros because he was stll on dial-up.

Yes, I played that game at some ungodly low framerate. Then again I bought like every fighting game related thing I could find back them and PC games were the cheapest.  So I ended up getting Rise of the Robots, One Must Fall, and Pray for Death. :\

When I got my first PC in 1995 (I was 10), my mother would not allow us to get internet so I just spent most of the day playing with QBASIC and messing around with Windows 3.1.  Playing Solitaire was something of an epic event for us.

First time I got connected to the internet (1998) on a blistering fast 14400 bps trying to download Goldeneye videos from the Nintendo homepage.  SMH.  Next PC with its 26400 bps connection is where I discovered porn and unfortunately, goatse.cx and tubgirl.
