I only saw the movie.
The worst part about Crash is that it is so dumbed down that any subtlety has been removed in the process. Instead of doing the common covert racism of clutching onto purse strings tighter or holding your white Christian girlfriend tighter as you walk past a black group, which may or may not be a gang, the movie makes everything so blatant. Cue Sandra Bullock complaining out loud about having your shit stolen because a non-white is installing the locks. Everyone in the movie is so racist that I think a Klansmen might have been taken aback by it.
The only guy that turned out to seem non-racist turned out to be the worst one.
I thought the movie could have been much better if they turned down the overt racism. The writers should have had a little more faith in Crash's intended audience and intelligence.
One of the most overrated movies in the decade.
