warriors "director's cut" kind of messes up the film

there's an intro where the director states that he's trying to show the greek origins while also exploring the comic book side of this

this translates into intercuts like the Ang Lee hulk and a 15 second history lesson at the start of the film.

totally lame.

right on, what else do you recommend from the era?  I liked the warriors, super fly, serpico, dirty harry, french connection, that gene hackman film where he's a wire tapper...need more!
