Oh yeah, I remember I was telling you about how I had the same thing happen to me when I was in high school (more than once). Well, my brother has three MIPs, and he didn't do the assigned community service or pay the fine in the time allotted, and the judge granted him extra time. So I wouldn't be too worried.
On top of Cohen's suggestions, I would also suggest that you wear a button down shirt and tie as you will most likely be appearing directly in front of the judge. for my second MIP, I had to appear in front of the judge and then he asked me what I drank the night I was caught. Just a heads up.
