See that's just the thing.  If I was trained on the floor to sell books, I'd love it a whoooooole lot more, that way I'd get to interact with my coworkers more and be, you know, helpful.  But I'm strictly a cashier.  Can you imagine standing in one place for 10 hours of the day doing the same fucking thing over and over and over again.

Oh no, just during the holidays.  My semester ends in a week and then I'm off for like a month and a half.  I mean, I figure working won't be too bad because it'll give me something to do, because otherwise I'd be lazy at my house.

But this place sucks sucks sucks.  I want to find a speciality bookstore instead of a chain to work at.

Oh god yes. I worked in Ops for one day for register training and I declared that would be the end of my register career at Best Buy. Screw that noise. I love being able to walk around and basically talk to/do what I want.

It really is hell.  I'm gonna ask them to train me for the floor, but I doubt they'll grant my wish, considering they're lacking register workers and I was the most productive cashier of the last year.
