Long story short, I quit my job yesterday. Because my manager is an immature fucking prick who needs to get his ass kicked into the stratosphere.
I worked from 9AM to 4PM yesterday (Saturday). I've been meaning to quit for a while as I've already applied to several other jobs, but I was simply fed up with that fucking asshole who is somehow my manager.
I quit yesterday, but I didn't just storm out. I waited till my work day was over, and at the end of the day I waited until my boss (not my manager; my boss seems like a mature, level-headed guy) came back. I told him in a respectful manner that I quit, and he said it was fine and that I "gotta do what I gotta do".
I see my manager today (he goes to my church) and before he walks out, I remind him that I worked 7 hours yesterday (9AM-4PM) and I should get a 50$ paycheck next week for the hours I worked*. I could tell by the tone of his voice and his "whatever" attitude that he plans on 1 of two things.
1. Lying about my hours to my boss and giving me a less-than-50$ paycheck.
2. Not giving me my paycheck at all, either because he lied to my boss or because he cashed it in himself and took my money.
Can I take legal action if this happens? I have a serious, serious feeling that he is going to lie and not give me my paycheck at all, regardless of taking 7 HOURS out of my day to work. He's an immature, childish, motherfucking cuntface like that. There are many stories I could tell behind his actions but that's digression. Oh, and he always, always, ALWAYS bends stories in his favor. Always. He's a goddamn liar and if I don't get my paycheck he can kiss his gonads goodbye.
*I got paid 8$ an hour. 8x7 = 56. Taking off tax, it'll be a 50$ paycheck. I've gotten a 7 hour paycheck before, it was almost exactly 50$ [I only worked 1 day that week due to complications]. So I know exactly how much I should get on my next paycheck... IF I get it.
So. Can I take legal action if I don't get the money I earned?
