The holiday season is coming up... what are your plans?

Well, I took off next Monday and Tuesday from work, and my company gives off from Christmas Eve till New Years, so I have a nice ~2 week break coming up. Don't really have too much planned so far...

Christmas Eve and Christmas - spending it at my uncle's (who lives nearby) house. My family is small but it should still be a good time, I'm sure there's gonna be a lot of good eyetalian food there.

New Years Eve - well, I'd love to go see Tiesto in NYC, but the combination of price, guidos, and being in NYC on New Years makes me hesitant... I'll just wait till WMC in March. So right now, no plans, hoping someone has a house party or something.

The rest of the break - honestly I don't really want to do much of anything. Maybe go into the city and see the tree. Other than that I just want to beat Fallout 3 and play a lot of Vesperia. Perhaps reactivate my Match.com account and meet some new girls, I've been taking a bit of a break from dating.

Nothing special planned. We'll be converging at an uncle's house on Christmas day, may head out to my parents' place also, don't know. I'll work Monday and Tuesday next week and that's it, so that will be good.

My last day of work is 18th and I don't go back until January 5th.

My wife and I get together with our friends on Christmas Eve morning for brunch, and then we spend the evening with my mom's relatives. We'll go to midnight service at the Lutheran Church near our house, and then Christmas morning we'll do gifts at our house in the morning. We'll then go down to my parents' house and have brunch and open presents with them and my sister and her husband and kids. Later in the day we're going to my grandma's cabin near Mt. Rainier for Christmas with my dad's relatives.

The day after Christmas we're going to Vancouver, BC for three days. Had to scrap London, plane tickets jumped in price, so it's now kind of ridiculous to spend that much for only 4 or 5 days.

As for New Year's, some friends of ours throw a big party at their house every year, and this year will be no different.

It's pretty stacked this year. For the last 4 years my christmas 'vacation' consisted of nothing but studying, except for the 24th and 25th in the afternoon where I went to christmas family party at mom and dad's side.

19th: maybe go to christmas market in Leuven with friend and japanese girl (if she's not too tired after plain ride, friend is picking her up)
20th: friend and jap girl come visit me, show her around town
21st: organize house
22nd: go pick up mom and stepdad at airport. Drive them back home, talk and listen to their adventures.
23rd: go to Brugges with friend and jap girl
24th: go to dad and celebrate a nice quiet christmas eve
25th: christmas family debauchery on mom's side, with around 20-30 people. Get drunk on champagne or wine.
26th: winter evening walk in Bokrijk with friend and jap girl
27th: go to Amsterdam with friend and jap girl
29th: go to Dinant or Durby with friend and jap girl
30th: go indoor snowboarding with friend and jap girl
31st: don't know yet

Evening of the 24th - go to LI to spend CE with my father in law and my wife's siblings.

25th - go to my grandma's in Staten Island (yay 20 min drive)

26th - BACK TO WORK SLAVE!   

Originally the 27th & 28th we were gonna go to my parents house but now it looks like we might go to my mother in laws who lives a bit upstate, idk.   

New Years might be spent at my Aunt and Uncle's in CT.  I'm hoping to get a lot of painting done on my warhammer guys this holiday season.

today's my last day of 'holiday' break, I work every day for the rest of the year after this. I am carrying over colossal vacation into next year and am planning on going to trinidad and tobago with my wife so two weeks. We're going out to a game dinner tonight, should be fun.

Sort of a downer Christmas overall, but at least I get to work from home the whole time.

I'm still playing catch up from my unexpected time off from the wisdom teeth thing.  I'll probably just consume a bottle of some sort of liquor on Christmas Eve, another on Christmas day, and maybe another on the day after.  Isn't it the weekend then?  I'll probably do some drinking and maybe go to the Party Mansion in Seattle and watch some shit and consume consumables.  I'll start sobering up on Sunday night and prepare to work on that shitty week between xmas and the new year.  And I'll probably drink on the days associated with the new year.

Since we have a new house and my wife has to work up to and after Christmas, her family is coming to visit us, which means we have less than a week to get our house prepared.

Still haven't decided on New Year's.  Trying to choose between Atlanta (just because it's close), Houston (her family), and New Orleans (Sugar Bowl...my wife is an Alabama alum).  If we go to Houston, do I get to hang out with some rad EB'ers???

Surrounding all of this, I plan to catch up on all of my games (except maybe the RPGs that I'm halfway through) and a few movies since I have the next two weeks off.

Company party tomorrow, milestone delivery finalization Friday.  Interesting timing because they've pretty much wholeheartedly endorsed our getting sauced Thursday night (free drinks + taxi rides home)

Holidays will be a bit of family time, probably some hanging out with work chums, and probably hanging out with Synthesizer.  Lots of getting up late and just consuming media of all kinds. For New Year's, I'm debating on whether to go see Armin van Buuren at the Sports Arena, or Benassi at Maximus.  I've seen both before, but I'll probably opt for Benassi

Christmas Day is Ecro's parents'/maternal grandmother's house, and then likely my aunt and uncle's to visit my dad's side of the family and announce our engagement. It's looking like the 26th we'll be going to his aunt's to see his father's side of the family.

Then on the 27th, an old friend of mine is getting hitched!

25th - collect loot from family
26th - late january - taking a trip to NYC for a few days, sitting around and playing games, hitting up music stores and shows in Chicago, and waiting for work to start.

throughout the whole time I'll be stressing about law school apps, wondering if I'll get accepted anywhere.
