and lots better. it was pretty too. on 360 not on ps2. fairly short (7-8 hours?), lots of variety, dumb AI, not a bad story. cool melee kills. me rikie.

Yeah, the demo was bad until you got out of the caves and the whole game has that stupid LEGS IN THE AIR thing that I hate. But it didn't bother me except for like maybe 2 sections in the entire game that I thought were too hard. Was a really smooth ride. It's a nice mix of COD, Halo, and Gears. CoD because the game is very linear and very designed/scripted (I think linearity is good, some people don't), while at the same time having actual dynamic fights (enemies move, dinos behave differently, etc) that aren't on the AI level or openness level of Halo but close, and the enemies are kinda bullet sponges for weaker weapons like Gears.

I LOVE a good B level title and Turok is definitely one of the better B level games of 2008. It's better than resistance 2 and has better graphics. and the multi is surprisingly fun (they outsources the multi maps to rockstar new england)

Yeah, lots of people online. I thought it would be deserted but I found 9/12 people instantly in a big team game. Try the demo and you'll see what I mean about legs. When a dino runs into you, instead of just getting thrown back, it shows your legs up in the air as if you had fallen backwards. It's a cool effect like once or twice. The game LOVES shaking the camera. I thought it was pretty cool but they do overuse it a little.

There is coop-- online only-- but I think it's like R2-- special coop maps and not the main game. Which is dumb because turok is almost always with someone else.

Also the last two hours of the game are awesome. Totally awesome.

I still like R2's multiplayer for some reason. I like it's HaloD4ness. But I feel like there are only like 3 maps and I don't really enjoy the huge games. Also I never play it because there is no splitscreen and my friend hates it so we just stick to Gears and now L4D.

can't talk about multi yet, but the sp is weak to say the least. The level design is boring and the boss encounters that look epic (like that one they showed at E3) are just tedious and not fun to play. The game has this huge variety of cool weapons, but since the enemies only carry a couple of types, you're forced to use the ones the game selects for you.
