I love you guys! You made my day! Those are definitely the cutest/funniest puppy pictures I've ever seen.
BlueTsunami - It's hard to lose a family member, whether it's a human or animal, but it brings you closer to the rest of your family and the people who really matter. I had 7 random friends and acquaintances that died within the last 2 months of 2007, then my brother died in April, but it's brought my family really close together. We were never the touchy-feely family, but now they're constantly hugging us and telling us they love us. So just enjoy your time with your family, because if you only have 1 year with them or 100 years, it's never long enough.
I'm just glad my brother wasn't here when we had to put Lady down. She had such a long, full life (unlike my brother), but it's still depressing. My mom gave her some painkillers that morning, so she felt okay that day. We didn't take her to our regular vet, so when we pulled up, she wasn't scared (like she is at our vet's office). My dad picked her up out of the car and set her down, and she felt okay enough to walk in. She even kept stopping to sniff stuff and check things out. She always kept that curiosity she had when she was a puppy.
Her last meal was Culver's vanilla ice cream that I brought to her. She was happy, but looked at me like, "What? Only one scoop?"
