True story: the only black person I've ever worked in Japan with quit his job after being called a distinguished black fellow to his face by 3 separate people. All 3 were Director-level or above at the firm, which is one of the biggest on Wall St. And that wasn't even why he quit - the racism was so engrained that his job was effectively impossible because he couldn't get anyone to take him seriously despite his formidable qualifications and intellect. To him, them saying it out loud wasn't even shocking, because it had been clear to him for a long time how they felt and why they did so. He could have destroyed them with a lawsuit but just wanted to wash his hands of them.
There is a happy ending though - now he's kicking ass for the world's largest hedge fund. Which is one of our clients so all of a sudden, the aforementioned assholes now have to kiss his ass.
So yeah, go fuck yourself Beardo. You don't know shit about what people have been going through.
