Founder of American-Islamic TV station accused of beheading wife

ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. — A Buffalo-area man who runs an American-Islamic television station is accused of beheading his wife.

Orchard Park police say 44-year-old Muzzammil Hassan told police Thursday evening that his wife was dead at his office. That's where police found the body of 37-year-old Aasiya Hassan.

Hassan is now charged with second-degree murder and police believe the killing occurred sometime late Thursday afternoon. Authorities say his wife had recently filed for divorce and had an order of protection that had him out of the home as of February 6th.

Hassan is the founder and chief executive of Bridges TV, which he launched in 2004 in hopes of portraying Muslims in a better light.

Yes, white America should show great shame because a minority acted in such a cliche manner. Shame America, shame.

My friend from college worked with the woman:

The news interviews people saying, "I never saw that coming!" and things like that. Bullshit. I saw it coming. Sometimes when Aasiya's husband would come in the store I'd seriously get chills. He didn't even have to say anything to make me extremely uncomfortable. There was just something not right about him. That and his pass history of domestic violence and stealing her passport so she couldn't run back home to Pakistan in 2006 should have tipped people off.

I think the governments of the US, Canada and Europe need to take a tougher stance with immigrants. These people CHOSE to come to these respective countries and hence they need to adapt and follow the laws of the respective nation.

As much as it pains me, I have to say I agree.  Congress should man up, put political correctness and cultural sensitivity aside, and finally pass a law making it illegal for Muslims to behead their wives.
