Mine does, Triumph. Which is why I always was a registered Republican.

I'm just annoyed that the GOP has used this economic disaster as an opportunity to oppose everything and pat themselves on the back, instead of actually, y'know, negotiating items into the stimulus package that could help or force more oversight on dirty, liberal spending. I guess that's the straw that broke the camel's back.

Well, Maryland's Republican party is pretty much dead on a federal level. When it comes to senators and the like if you want any sway you gotta vote in Dem primaries anyway.

Yeah, voting in primaries is the only reason to register with one party imo. Well, and in my case I finally registered as a dem to annoy some of my relatives.

Honestly though, if Michael Steele, who ran a pretty good campaign couldn't beat a rather boring dem opponent for Senator there then I really doubt any Republican can.

My uncle is a Rockefeller Republican. He used to be the County Commissioner for the county in Western Michigan that he's lived in his entire life. Not only did he vote a straight Dem ticket with "no compunctions whatsoever" this past November, he told me he changed his registration after the Palin debacle because "that woman is going to bring fascism to America if she goes to Washington". My uncle is pretty awesome.
