I've been playing a ton of this game lately. I only play RttS, no franchise or online.

I was having issue with batting so I went looking for some answers. What I've found that helped me was lowering the pitch speed in the sliders. I knocked mine down by just one notch and my average this weekend has gone from .219(lol) to .280. This is after coming in with over 200 AB's before the change to pitch speed.

But I really think that the reason hitting is such a challenge in the beginning of your career is, basically, because you suck and need to develop your skills as a player. It's more realistic this way IMO, if you have the patience for it.

Stealing is much harder this year, even on rookie. But I don't really care for the new run mechanic using the stick.

RttS gets easy once you get semi-decent and are able to obtain an obscene amount of points. I maxed out my player and won 13 AL MVP awards (I simulated the games). At 44, my character had a 1.200 OPS.. He was just shy of 1000 career homers and had well over 4000 hits by the time he was forced to retire.

Funny, I got drafted to the Tigers in my RTTS. And yes they suck. Playing 1st base, and batting well and the stupid team can't win a spring training game. Idiots.

Love the custom soundtracks feature! It's AWESOME.

In spring training, I'm batting .500 right now. Why were people bitching about it being hard?
