That's a tough one. I'd go with DMC3, mainly becuase it doesn't have major backtracking. DMC4 is great though.

3 SE is better overall, but yeah, I hate to say it, but sub-hd, no cheesemints. i don't really play PS2 much anymore because of this. fuck I'm turning into that guy! oh well.

really, the only thing I see that's revolutionist to the action game genre is the creative camera movement. Game looks great though.
