DnB was what got me into DJ:ing in '96 and I've been wanting to record a mix, finally got around to it tonight. Mostly jazzy/funky stuff from 1997 onwards, lots of Moving Shadow and a Bristol block in there too since I do like the Full Cycle gang. Sci-Clone's "Everywhere I Go" is still probably my single fave track of the genre. The Kudos track is nice too, genius move to sample the drum break from Curtis Mayfield's "Move On Up". "Hi-Potent" is a relentless but underappreciated gem from the second disc of the 2-disc version of Roni Size/Reprazent's "New Forms" album (WHAT AN ALBUM!). And Photek is still the king of drums.

Except for J. Monae, I agree. Though a Janelle Monae/Frank Ocean collab would probably break the Internet.

I'm more of a Sweet Life/Monks/Sierra Leone type of guy, but Pyramids is a fantastic track. It also serves an important focal point of the album into much, much darker territory.

Having an unabashedly bisexual R&B album from a male does not get nearly enough recognition despite its already large amount of critical acclaim.
