BTTP: Far Cry 2 (big caps from yours truly)
« on: April 23, 2009, 06:36:38 PM »
Been playing this underrated jewel the last few days.  FC2 really has some of the most beautiful graphics this gen.  The foliage is simply amazing.

Everything is captured at max settings at 1920x1200.  I also used nhancer to set anti-aliasing higher than what the game allows.

Game still runs at 60fps though.  Eat you heart out, Dark1X!

Glad you are enjoying the game. One of my favorite games from last year, flaws and all. So much fun.

I love FC2. I had the 360 version, but I got rid of it when Steam had the PC one for $15. Awesome game. FLAMETHROWER FTW.

It's a shame that the game is so half-baked and buggy. I really wish Ubi could just once match its ambition with equally impressive content.

Why is PD allowed to post in non-WoW gaming threads?

I don't remember the last time I touched the Orange Box. TF2 is pretty fun but I've got no desire to pull it out

Glad you are enjoying the game. One of my favorite games from last year, flaws and all. So much fun.

Maybe you can get rid of some of those flaws with a trainer?

I had to start completely over because I forgot to backup my save when installing the new PC.

To get through the 1st part faster, I used a trainer.  The cheats that I used were invincibility for vehicles and 100% reliable weapons.

Surprisingly, the game was a lot more fun with those cheats.  There is still enough challenge but far less frustration.

There is a cheat for weapon reliability? Sounds hot. I have had three instances of every single weapon in my arsenal malfunctioning, one after the other. In one instance, one of the guns kept malfunctioning between every reload. The game has some nice ideas, but it honestly feels like they ran out of time for pre-planning and testing.
