Hey, Frag: Evochron Legends
« on: April 27, 2009, 05:51:06 PM »
I just came across this game today, actually. It's free-roaming, 3D space simulator from StarWraith 3D Games that looks like it's from a similar mold as X3. I haven't sunk more than maybe 15 minutes into the demo, which is basically the full game only timed, but it looks like it got some really cool stuff in it.

Here's what I've seen so far from:
-Graphics aren't too hot overall, but outer space locals look pretty good
-You can race other ships for money or mine asteroids or other odd jobs
-There's a ton of upgrades for your ship
-You can pass through the atmosphere to dock at cities for trading
-You can be a pirate or a mercenary or a spy and all kinds of other occupations
-Has multiplayer
-Don't know yet if massive fleets or owning businesses are in
-Full game is $25

Here's the demo:

I'll post some more detailed impressions later.

Does it include a benchmark tool?

I don't think so. And, really, the graphics aren't impressive enough to make a benchmark worthwhile.

Dude, it's not any less productive than you playing games that you hate for achievements.

Been meaning to get around to this one, but just been too busy. Sometime this year I'll play this game, it looks and sounds totally awesome.

No, I'd say it's very much less productive

"hey there's a demo... btw is there a benchmark?"

No of course you shouldnt download the demo, just move on and wait for the next game to come out with a benchmark
