PGR4?

I have Motostorm, MS2, and GRID for PS3 but I want some advice for a 360 racer.

I'm not to keen on buying GRID again and forgot to mention I have BP on PS3 too.

I may just buy BP on 360 and get the cops and robbers for online playing. Anyone else getting that?

Yeah I was joking about buying GRID again. I dunno about BP, the game never really clicked with me. Probably because TOCA Race Driver on PC was my first real racing game (well, after Colin Mcrae Rally), and I just follow the Race Driver series from then on.

Besides GRID, DiRT is my favourite - I played it to death. PGR4 is also pretty awesome. PGR4 in-car view with thunderstorm weather and a wheel =

. I liked Forza but found Forza 2 amazingly dull for some reason.

TDU is a lot of fun. PURE is great but I haven't devoted enough time to it. I only just got Burnout and it hasn't grabbed me yet. I might get the cops and robbers.

The demos of all these games (where available) give a pretty good idea of the full product so give them a shot if possible.

The one "realistic" racer that I REALLY got into was Grid.

Sega Rally Revo is an arcadey racer but it's also by far my favorite one on 360. The terrain deforms as you drive so staying to the racing line and drifting right really matter. There's a demo I think too.

Burnout Paradise and Outrun Online. I've never played PGR and my friend lost my copy of Ridge Racer 6 before I really got to play it, so I have no opinion on those.

I paid $60 plus tax for this at its release. It was worth every penny and then some – $10 is a massive steal. You really should get it at that price, it won't get any cheaper.

Yeah, it does.

I installed it a while back for achievements and one races out of a few I did had the sound popping and crackling.

Yeah, uh PGR3 sucked. Was a massive disappointment at the X360 launch coming from PGR2 if you weren't an online gamer. They added plenty of online stuff, but the SP was like 5 hours long. It was ridiculously short in content. Vegas looked AWESOME but there just wasn't enough variety.

PGR4 then came along and added way more content and super awesome beyond awesome best thing ever photo mode and decent bikes and a 20 hour SP mode and it was almost like PGR2 with amazing HD graphics.

PGR2 > PGR4 >>> PGR3 > PGR1

Racing games were about that because there was no online.

Racing online, is just on another level. It's like sports games. Once i started playing Pro Evo online, it became impossible to get back to offline.

I can understand if you don't like the "social" part of games though. But that's on you. As far as i'm concerned, competitive games = online.

You never even liked split-screen racing? Racing against an opponent requires you to know how to overtake and block and is A LOT more exciting to me. Time trials are still fun in their own way of course but you don't get bored once you know exactly when to turn and brake and whatever?
